The next chapter in Sam’s life

July 29, 2009

Several changes occured in this game play session, but I’ll let Sam tell you about most of it.  Here we go!

Little did I know it, but after I went to bed that night, mom dad and grandma had a chat.  They decided since mom and dad wanted to expand the family even further, a revamp of the house was in order.  We built one new bedroom, me and Kaz’s, moved dad’s office to the nursery and moved the new baby’s stuff to the old office.

Mom found out the baby was a girl, so we decorated the room perfectly for a little princess.

Dad kept the old wall paper and even the decorations he had had when I was a baby.

And Kaz and I split a room, his favorite and my favorite colors together

Here is my newly fixed up bed.

Some days after school I was so exhaused I would just go right to bed.  On those days, Sandi would step in and help with Kaz.  I always appreciated her friendship.

One day while I was at school, the worst thing happened.  Grandma put Kaz in the new nursery and passed away right there next to the crib.

Dad was really upset, but I wanted a picture of him in his uniform.

That day after school, after finding out the news, I went over to Sandi’s house.  She let me cry on her shoulder even though I smelled horrible.  I just couldn’t believe she was gone.  She had always been a huge part of my life.

Mom and I tried to help each other through it.  It was a very traumatic experience for the whole family, except Kaz who didn’t really seem to understand what had happened.

Even the food made me think of grandma.  It was, after all, a leftover piece of pie from something she had made the day before.  Grandma had always been the most amazing cook.

But life goes on, and one day while at school, Kazi grew up.

That made it easier to spend time with Kaz.  One of the things we did best together was our homework.  I was able to help him with his real well, seeing as I hadn’t had those classes all that long ago.

When I wasn’t with Kaz, I was taking care of my baby sister Kisa.  Mom had gone back to work full time to make up for grandma’s missing pay checks.  Plus it was what she wanted to do with her life.

Before we even knew it, it was dad’s birthday.  He was only becoming an adult, but it was still a major milestone in his life.  Not much after this, dad had enough life time points to purchase a different life time want, which he did, since he knew his chances of having 5 children were very slim.  He chose to be an international super spy and started his job as a police man shortly after.

Here we are, minus Kisa who is asleep in her crib upstairs.  It’s a very rare occurance for all of us to be in the same room at one time.

I did my part, helping to take care of Kisa.  It was during one of the middle of the night feedings that I came to a conclusion.  I liked kids.  A lot.  I decided then and there I wanted to be a dad one day.

Soon enough though, it was her birthday.  It was exciting, yet a little sad seeing as she was the baby of the family.

But our relationship just grew and grew.

With mom and dad concentrating on their careers, we were a team.  Me and Kaz worked real well together.

I’d often end up babysitting both of them.  I taught Kisa how to walk, but I left the others for my parents.

I spent a lot of time with them.  I knew I was going to miss them dearly when I moved out, but I was ready for a family of my own.

Mom was so tired one day (she had, by this time, moved from the athletics career she was already in when she moved in with us to the business career her life time want needed for her to top) she passed out in front of the building.  CS thought it was hilarious and stopped to laugh at her.

One day, not long after, Kaz got invited to a friends house.  I just thought his hair was very interesting, so I took a picture of it.  Kids with grey tips?  They were spawned children of the Alto’s apparently.

That night was Anne’s birthday.  I was so busy trying to be sure everyone had everything they needed with Sam’s impending birthday that I completely forgot about hers.  Here she is, throwing a solo party in the bedroom.  She sure looks rather happy for being all alone…

RIGHT after I snapped that picture, what should happen?  Leigh came RUNNING down the hall way and rushed into the room to toot the little horn for his wife.  She looks very proud that her darling husband remembered after all.

Kaz and I both seemed to have trouble remembering to do our homework, but that’s alright, we just did it together at 3 in the morning.

At one point, the older Alto girl came home from school with me.  I just couldn’t get over that weird hair.

Then, it was Kazi’s birthday.  I was so proud of him.  He had straight A’s, even with us forgetting homework some days.

Now I had someone my age to help out with stuff.  YAY!

I just thought this picture was too cute.  Leigh was scared at first when he saw his mom.  But then, all his time in the military career came spinning back to him and he gave her a nice salute.  Then a hug, and then he carried on with his day.

When I could, I would sit down and play Kisa’s favorite toy with her.

Most of my time was spent doing homework.

Things were getting so stressful around the house mom and I actually got into a fight one night.  It didn’t last too long, but it was proof things were getting too hot in this house.  I knew I’d have to move out and start my own family elsewhere.

When the day of my birthday finally arrived, I invited Sandi over only to find she had already turned young adult.  I was wondering if she was the woman I would start my life with or not.  She wasn’t exactly bad looking.  I wasn’t sure though, I’d need to look around a bit more.

First was Kisa…

Then, was mine.

I gave Kisa one last big giant hug and headed out the door.

Since I have been sucking at listing their traits and everything, I figured I would do that here.  Also, I decided I wanted to start him on the correct lot.  Since they didn’t have enough money to afford it, I attempted to give myself just enough money to buy the house.  However, I ended up having more money than I intended, resulting in giving myself just over 4,000, rather than just over 1, like it’s supposed to be.  Oh well.  I guess I didn’t exactly start like you’re supposed to anyway.

Sam Sekemoto – LTW superstart athlete
Music – kids, Food – French toast, Color – green
Excitable, Artistic, Family – Oriented, Hopless Romantic and Athletic

Kazuki Sekemoto – none yet
Music – Latin, Food – hot dog, Color – Blue
Absent Minded, Loner, Artistic and Charismatic

Kisa Sekemoto – none yet (the child to come out with mom’s bright blue eyes)
Music – Custom, Food – grilled chese, Color – white
Neurotic, Loner and over – emotional

I’d also like to add that all of Kaz and Kisa’s traits were rolled.  As was Sam’s last, it said he had indifferent study habbits.  Ah well, atheltic isn’t bad.

Life as a child

July 27, 2009

Today I made a decision as far as the family was concerned.  Since Anne’s LTW was to reach the top of the business career, I decided it wasn’t fair to make her stay home having baby after baby, especially when it was only going to make things harder on my Sam.  Unfortunately this means that Leighton’s LTW will not be able to be reached, but I will still do everything I can to make him happy, and should he earn enough points to purchase a new LTW, I’ll do that.  By the way, on his birthday I picked the family-oriented trait for Sam, since he’s going to be the founder  of a legacy.  It didn’t stick, and I did have to use testingcheatsenabled to add it again, but that was it.

I couldn’t help but notice that most of my friends at school were girls.  I really liked them, as friends, but not as more.

I would go home with them after school, or they’d come back to my house.  We’d do our homework and then we’d play together all night.

Until it was time to go home.  Then, I’d ride my bike back rather than bothering anyone to take me home.

My best friend was Sandi French.  She came home with mea s often as possible.  We’d talk about deep things, but mostly we just spent time playing games together.

Anne, who I had started calling mom by that point, didn’t mind me having girls over, but even at that age, she liked to keep an eye on us.  I told her it wasn’t necessary, it wasn’t like I liked her or anything, but still, she wanted to be close by.

Since I wasn’t old enough to hold him on my own yet, sometimes I would go into Kaz’s room, my old nursery, and watch him sleep.  He was a pretty good baby, although his needs did consume most of mom’s time.

One day while I was at school mom and grandma celebrated Kaz’s birthday.  They were excited he was finally going to be a toddler.

Mom later admitted to me as much as she loved Kaz, she was glad he had gotten a bit more independence and didn’t depend on her quite as much.  She had always been an independent woman who liked to spend her time doing things like working or cleaning the house.

I was so excited that I could finally play with my baby brother, even if it was only doing little things like playing blocks together.  Since he still hadn’t learned to talk it was mostly baby mumbling, but that was ok, I just mumbled right back.

Especially since it seemed most of my friends, including Sandi, had grown up over night.  They were all teens now and were in a different class.  I felt a little left out, but I knew my birthday was fast approaching.  I just spent more time with Kaz.

On the day of my birthday I threw a large party.  I invited the three boys in my class as well as my teenage friends.  I was glad they came.  Especially Sandi.  I found, even though she was quite a bit bigger than me, we could still talk to each other easily.

Dad couldn’t be more proud.  I had been, after all, on the honor roll several times.  I was a pretty good kid, if I didn’t say so myself.

Since most of my friends left immediately after I blew out the candles, the first thing I did as a teen was head to Kaz’s bedroom and pick him up.  He was as cute as could be, with dad’s eyes (which I also had) and mom’s hair and cheek bones.  He seemed to like me too and cuddled into me.

While I was in Kaz’s room with him, dad and mom had a talk.
“Sweetie…  I know you said you don’t really want to have many kids, since you really want to settle down and concentrate on your career…  But do you think we could try for one more?”  Anne sighed, looking into his longing eyes.
“I suppose so Leigh, but this needs to be the last one.”
“Thank you.  It was really hard watching my first child become a teenager.  I can’t believe he’s grown up so fast.  Before we know it, this new baby will already be all grown up.”  He told her, with a soft sigh.

With mom spending most of her time trying to get pregnant (going to the doctor’s office and everything) and dad and grandma always at work, I was left to take care of Kaz most of the time, not that I had any problems with that.

The begining

July 26, 2009

I’ve read sims legacy stories since I first heard of them in the Sims 2, but I was never too good at it myself.  When the sims 3 came out, I decided I would try to do one for real.  I did a few families that didn’t get past generation three (partially due to losing my game files when my laptop got fixed).  Today I decided to start a new one, and I had an idea of one that would be a bit different than most.  I like reading the ones that are slightly different, so hopefully people will like reading mine.  Anyway, I started off a bit differently.  I chose to start with a character who was already made, therefore limiting myself to what I could give my character.  I chose, however, not to start as an adult.  I chose someone you may recognize.

That’s right, I chose Sam Sekemoto.  He started with the favorites Kids, French toast and green.  His two traits that I have no say in were excitable and artistic – not terrible.  This, is where our story begins.

Hi, my name is Sam, and my story started like most.  I had a very loving father, and an excellent grandmother.  My mother had left me with my dad shortly after my birth.  That’s all I was really ever told of her.  I didn’t need a mom though.  My dad was my everything.

I always had different dreams than most.  Even as a toddler I knew my life would be the start of something great.  Of course, I couldn’t voice that to anyone, so it was just a thought I always carried inside.

Dad tought me pretty much everything I needed to know.  The things he didn’t have time to teach me, grandma took over with.

Things all changed when Anne came into our life.  Her and dad started out as real good friends.  Then they thought of becoming more.  But there was a big thing dad had yet to tell her.
“Anne, I know it’s probably much too late to bring this up, but I do already have a son.  His name is Sam and he’s 3.  He’s very well behaved and a very sweet little boy.”
“That is alright, I’ve always wanted children of my own.  I don’t think I’d be a bad stepmom either.”  She told him, giving him a sweet smile.

When I decided to do it this way, I was only thinking about using Sam as my founder once he grew up.  I didn’t even think about the fact that his father and grandmother both had LTWs.  I decided I’d do my best to make them happy, even if I wasn’t able to complete that want.  They both had the want to be surrounded by family.  Obviously, grandma will not be able to complete that want.  However, I will complete as many of her wants as possible until she passes.  For his father, I decided to go ahead and let him have a larger family although I’m not sure if I will actually allow Sam’s siblings to grow all the way to teen before I move them out or not.

At first I didn’t really know what to think of this woman.  She barged in on me when I was in the bathroom and went to the bathroom right next to me.  Even dad didn’t do that to me.  She was nice though, and seemed to genuinely care about me.

What I didn’t know at the time was that dad and Anne were moving quite quickly.

She had already moved in and became like a mother to me.  Something I had never had.  She would spend time with me, playing with my toys when she got home from work.  Sometimes her and dad would go into the bedroom for awhile, but then they’d always come back out and spend time with me.  While they were gone, grandma would sit with me.  I was never alone for too long, and I never questioned being loved.

Dad and I would often take trips away,  just the two of us.  He would read me amazing adventures and we would disappear into another world together.

Just before my birthday dad picked me up and held him close.  He told me that yesterday, when grandma had taken me to the art museum with her, him and Anne had gotten married.  He told me that didn’t change anything except that she now had our last name and was my mommy, even if it had the word step in front of it.

On my birthday we all celebrated together.  It was just the four of us, but that was the way I would have wanted it.  Dad sang to me and swung me around, making me smile.

Later that day, dad pulled me aside and told me we needed to have a talk.  He told me we were running low on money.  This was nothing new, but it had never really affected us before.  He told me that Anne was pregnant.  They weren’t going to love me any less, I was just going to be a big brother, but sadly, they hadn’t been able to purchase me a real bed yet.

He also explained to me all he’d ever wanted his whole life was to be a husband and a father – perferably to several kids, but if that didn’t happen that was fine.

Anne even pulled me aside to make sure I understood they hadn’t planned this and they weren’t replacing me or anything.  She said they’d be keeping my nursery just as it was, as well as all my toys for my baby sibling.  She said she hoped I understood.

“That’s okay mom.  I can’t wait to meet my baby brother or sister.”  I told her, gently rubbing her belly.  I’d loved my family the way it was, but if it was ready to grow, we certinally had more love to give.

Grandma confided in me, however, that she wasn’t entirely happy with this situation.
“I know that they didn’t plan this, but they really should have taken care of you first Sammy.  I’m not going to let you live in the living room forever.  I’ll do what I have to do to care for you my boy.”  Grammy had always been pretty amazing.

While the couch wasn’t the most comfortable place in the world, it would due for now.

But grammy kept her word.  Even though I no longer had my own room and had to share dad’s office, I had a bed of my own.

I was doing great in school and dad and I still made time to play together every day.  Things were going great.

We were all watching TV one night when Anne announced the baby was definitely ready to come.

Dad was so nervous he let Anne drive.

I stayed home and entertained myself all night, playing with my toys.

Much later that night they came home with a baby boy.  They told me they had named him Kazuki.  I knew when I first looked at him that my life had changed, but not for the worse.

Just a personal side note – I chose Kazuki for two reasons – 1 it is Japanese and fits in somewhat, 2 – it is the name of my rat who passed away recently, just before his second birthday.  Coincidentally enough, Kaz rolled absent minded and loner – which fits his name sake PERFECTLY.

That is where we stop for today.  I already know where I am headed with Sam, but I don’t know yet where I will alow the rest of his family to go.  Stay tunded to find out.  If you like it, please leave a comment.  This is my first time, so sorry if it’s not real great.
